We are pleased to offer our scholarship to both new and post graduate students continuing their education beginning in the summer or fall of 2018. Open to both traditional and non-traditional students planning to continue their education, the CAPNCM scholarship will be available to full-time, income-qualified residents of Caldwell, Daviess, Grundy, Harrison, Linn, Livingston, Mercer, Putnam, or Sullivan counties.
Deadline for receiving completed applications in our offices is April 5, 2018 @ 5:00pm. Download the application. NEW Winter LIHEAP applications will continue to be accepted until March 31st. Approved households with disconnection emergencies can continue to submit shut-off notices. Summer LIHEAP begins June 1st. New applications will again be accepted at this time. Our agency would like to give a shout out and a sincere thank you to Save-A-Lot, U.S. Bank Foundation, Orscheln's Industries Foundation, Inc, Casey's of Trenton, and Shopko of Trenton for their recent, generous donations! Save-A-Lot gave $1,000 in gift cards for agency use, U.S. Bank Foundation made a $500 gift to our Weatherization program, Orscheln’s donated $250 to Women's Health Services, Casey's donated $150.00 to Operation Hygiene and Shopko donated $1000.00 towards Operation Hygiene!
Trenton, Marceline, and Brookfield Police Departments and the Harrison County Sheriff's Department all received funds from CAPNCM as part of the Shop with a Cop program!
We've got our topic and dates lined up for January 2018's monthly life skills workshop! If you are interested in attending, you will have to complete a new intake (yes, even if you've completed one before, new year = new intake!) for your household, make sure you're qualified, submit supporting documents, and etc. Questions? The 1st Bulldog Challenge between Bright Futures Gallatin and Bright Futures Trenton December 19th at the Gallatin/Trenton varsity game. Together the two schools collected over 1000 personal hygiene items for their students. Home court advantage gave Gallatin the win with 728 items to Trenton's 297 items. Next year Trenton High School will be hosting the Bulldog Challenge.
Our monthly life skills classes are scheduled to start back up in January 2018 (we DO NOT yet have class dates or topics). If you would like to be eligible to attend once they do begin, please go ahead and get your annual intake for services completed and turned in to our office.
