As a recipient/participant in the LIHEAP program, in order to avoid having your utilities disconnected for non-payment, DO NOT wait until the day of your shut-off to seek assistance from our agency. We cannot provide same-day service in these cases. AS SOON AS you receive your shut-off notice in the mail, contact our office and let us know. Most often, with a simple call from you to your utility company, your utility company will even fax or email your shut-off notice to our office on your behalf!
